Cookie Policy

The cookies and storage we use on the website, and how to control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We also use the browser's local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB), which works in a similar way. This policy applies to the nextepi.app website; the mobile apps do not use browser cookies.

2. What we use

  • Sign-in session (essential): keeps you signed in. Expires after 30 days without use and at most after 1 year, or when you sign out.
  • Language (essential): remembers the language you chose. Stays until you change the language or clear cookies.
  • Local storage (essential): keeps your offline list, preferences and tutorial progress in your browser until you clear the site data.
  • Google Analytics (metrics): _ga and _ga_* cookies to measure site usage without identifying you by name. They last up to 2 years, per Google's default.
  • Vercel Analytics (metrics): measures visits in aggregate, without cookies.
  • Google AdSense (ads, Free plan): when ads are shown, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads, under Google's policy.

3. How to control them

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and preferences stop working.

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies
  • Safari: Settings › Privacy
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
